The core of the U-TECH™ technology is our midsole construction consisting of the innovative U-TECH™ foam.
U-TECH™ foam is made of a newly developed, foamed TPU. It is pleasantly soft, lightweight, extremely durable, and very responsive (75 % energy return).
U-TECH™ the U-shaped construction in the heel and in the forefoot area (decoupled), provides the technical solution for centering and a natural transition in the innovative U-TECH™ concept.

Another True Motion technology is a connecting bridge between forefoot and rearfoot, inspired by the plantar structures of the foot.
MotionBridge enables optimal energy transfer between the (decoupled) forefoot and rearfoot (U-TECH Nevos & U-TECH Nevos Elements).

3D MotionBridge is a variant with an integrated external heel counter for an even more effective energy transfer between the rearfoot and forefoot (U-TECH Aion).

Speed MotionBridge is a fiberglass nylon plate in the midsole that reduces weight, allows for Double U-TECH™ in the midfoot and provides a slight stiffening of the forefoot for an explosive and efficient push-off.

We also pay attention to the form and the functional details of the outsole rubber to enable a more natural and secure transition.
TrueFlex 8°: Most runners do not place their feet straight on the ground, but slightly turned outwards. 8° rotated flex grooves imitate this natural footstrike and enable a physiologically correct push-off.

The outsole rubber provides traction and durability.

With the U-TECH™ technology, we have approached a biomechanical dream and linked injury prevention and performance improvement. Prof. Dr. Gert-Peter Brüggemann is more than just a household name to true running enthusiasts. For many decades, he was head of the Institute for Biomechanics and Orthopedics at the German Sports University Cologne. As an internationally recognized specialist in running motion and the development of state-of-the-art running shoes, he now has over 30 years of scientific consulting work for the giants of the industry under his belt.

Peter and his research have been largely responsible for numerous groundbreaking innovations in the running shoe industry over the past quarter of the century. Running shoe analysis from one of the most advanced biomechanical labs in Europe

Due to our cooperation with the Institute for Functional Diagnostics (IFD Cologne), we have one of the most modern biomechanical laboratories in Europe at our disposal. For the kinematic and kinetic examinations of our running shoes, established procedures in research are used. These are, for example, 3D motion analysis – a MotionCapture system consisting of twelve infrared cameras and software with two synchronized force plates – electromyography, 3D whole-body scan, 3D foot scan and plantar pressure distribution measurement.

Two years of research resulted in a large-scale study that credibly confirms the superiority of our innovative sole design. True Motion running shoes were compared to the leading running shoes on the market (supported and neutral). 166 legs of 83 runners were studied. 200 variables per stance phase and over 1.3 million pieces of data were collected.
